Yes. Svija pages adapt to the browser window for an exact fit. If you make this window bigger or smaller, you will see that the content changes size.
In your website settings, you can choose which version of a page will be displayed at a given screen size.
Each version is created separately in Illustrator. Usually, this means a computer version and a mobile version. Most of the design time is spent on the computer version. It typically takes about 5-15 minutes to create an equivalent mobile page.
Svija pages are fully-readable by screen readers, and you can add special text for each page in Svija Admin, visible only to screen readers.
The SVG format used for Svija pages is indexed normally by Google. In addition, any accessibility text will be indexed by Google along with the main page contents.
Dynamic content will become available with the introduction of a plugin API, planned for mid-2023.
In the meantime, it's easy to set up hybrid Svija/Wordpress sites — we're happy to help you set it up!
A PC version of Svija Sync will be launched during the 4th quarter of 2022. Svija Sync and Svija Admin do not depend on the operating system.
Currently, Illustrator and Inkscape are the only programs that enable the creation of SVG files while linking to external fonts and images.
This is necessary to create "real" web pages (otherwise, you'd just be publishing big pictures).
Of the two, only Adobe Illustrator is fully scriptable. This is necessary for Svija Tools to be able to export pages correctly.
Svija is relatively young, even though we've been using it commercially for six years, and it's a stable, rock-solid product. But, it can't do everything.
For simpler websites where visual quality is critical, Svija is the best tool for the job. For complex, content-intensive or reference websites, Svija may not be the best choice.
